April 26th Pathway Day
Roosevelt Students Featured on WIFR!
For the March Pathway Day, Roosevelt students completed a mural on the side of local hardware store Tri-B Hardware & Supply. Student Axel Baca was interviewed about the project, and you can see his full interview and read the story at the WIFR website here!
Axel had this to say, "We weren't expecting to get it done in a day, but due to hard work we got it done pretty fast. I think the military background really captures the idea of the hardware store. People drive down Charles Street and they see this. They're going to remember this store as the store owned by military people back in the day." |

February Pathway Day: Tri-B Hardware Mural Designs
East High School’s loss is Roosevelt’s gain. Local business Tri-B Harware and Supply has asked Roosevelt students to design a mural to decorate a blank wall facing East. Below are some of the designs that Roosevelt students have created. The owner would like something eye-catching and attention-grabbing, and these sure do the trick!
WREX TV Station Tour
A big thanks to WREX (Channel 13) news for giving the Graphic Design & Digital Media Pathway a tour of their station. Students were given an extensive tour of the "behind the scenes" production areas, the studio, and saw the newsroom and met some of the reporters who put the news together for the website and broadcasts.

October Pathway Day
The Arts Pathways participated in an activity that asked students to reflect on how safe, unsafe, free, or restricted they feel at school, home, and in their community by using a large graph located outside of room 321 in the hall. Come see it and add your own opinions to the graph.
Students voted to focus on community for the next part of the morning. During this time, students created signs and thought of a word or phrase that described how they individually feel about the community. Students used different programs on the computer to produce their signs and then used cameras to take pictures of themselves holding the signs. The pictures will then be arranged into a tiled collage. Then students used Weebly to make their own websites. |
